May 20th Noon to 4:00p.m. Classic Boat Rendezvous at The Water Plaza – View a fleet of classic and antique boats sponsored by the Chicago Yachting Association along with live music by the Chicago folk collective Old Lazarus' Harp. Boats will be located between Wells and LaSalle Streets.

Finally have the hard top fully dressed with all the hardware. Assembled the spot light after hand polishing and chrome. New VHF antenna, added the two AIS antennas,10 man certified life raft, flag mast with horn base, Garmin XM weather antenna, HD7 satellite dish, Garmin 48" HD radar rotator, FLIR thermal imaging camera and forward and rear facing hailer loud speakers. Did I miss anything? #missmarianne

Interesting Google updated the Maps. My old Marina is now post hurricane on Hilton Head. The yellow is where she ended up, that was my dock I was attached to. She was only right there at the red arrow for a few days while we made repairs before heading to Florida. Bottom pics are before and after. She was the farthest out on the third dock on the upper right #HurricaneMatthew #nauticinderella

Im sharing my idea here because anyone with a wood boat can benifit. These are the components i plan to use in engineering my high water alarm. Truth is, in most cases when a pump fails and there is high water there isn't enough time to asses and make proper repairs or it becomes difficult because of high water. Parts are a genaric float switch to be installed at a level slightly above othe bilge switches, add a 12v power source, and a LED status light and an audible alarm. I plan to install the status light and alarm up near the helm. #missmarianne
