One primer coat and 3 finish coats of gloss Awlwood MA and the grain is filled. At this point its like instant gratification. You need to do double the coating with varnish to get to this point if your lucky. Ill probably do another 3 or 4 coats on that and call it good. Now back to the Torpedo at another location. #captainalbert #marianne #chriscraftboats #chriscraftconstellation #northshoremarina

Applied primer to the helm ceiling this morning and moved on to doing my chine cap repair. Had to rip and bevel to meet the existing. Thanks for the help Jim. #captainalbert #northshoremarin

Little me action. Photos are not in sequence. Sanding that took some time and Festool to the rescue again. #captainalbert #Marianne #chriscraft #northshoremarin

Rebuilt my flagmast. This one had fallen off the boat during my reassembly a few years ago. Found a backup in MI and the hardware was good but looked like a homeless flagmast. Have to get some new burgees to fly. #captainalbert #chriscraftcons

Little update on Marianne. Starting with the Genset. 8kw Fischer Panda. Has a kubota deisel. Very quiet. This one should be around 52db im told. Also you will see the 50 gallon tank added for the deisel. Where toolbox used to be. Im not sure yet but i may have to ask to move it back more. Also all new plumbing and sea strainer. Comes with that nice sound deadening suit case. The footprint is about the same if not less than the westerbeke which had 4200 hours on it and still running. #marianne #captainalbert #northshoremarina

Little update on Marianne. Since engines and genset were pulled the bottom was checked for rot, old motor mount holes were drilled ,doweled and set in epoxtmy, bilge was painted. Received the one delayed not shipped engine and the diesel tank has been set in place for the new genset. Bilge paint was alegedly Chris Craft color from Sandusky Paint Co. There are more pics out there from others working on the boat which I should acquire in near future. #captainalbert
