I used that same product on my dump truck gas tank to repair pin hole leaks, as well as some holes that were an 1/8 in diameter. I figured it was a good test. and 4 years later, its still holding! So this year I used it to epoxy in a teflon bushing in a cars suspension component. Must say, Im getting to trust the stuff. Nice job on the repairs!
Love the instructional video.
West System is great stuff and you can keep finding more uses for it on and off the boat. I recently used it to rebuild the console lid in a SUV. With a little fiberglass cloth and the epoxy, it’s good as new and saved $200.00 over going to the dealer. But it is interesting when you go a little overboard an mix too big of a batch at one time and the thermal reaction in the epoxy “lights off” and it overheats then starts smoking in the mixing container. If that happens be careful since the stuff gets HOT! But that only happened too me when working on the old boat, outside, in July/August and took a chance by mixing too much of the stuff up at one time.
What type of wood are you using on the edge?
