Cinderella update:: Got a captain on board today, and the scratches in this first pic are the worst of the visible damage after the hurricane destroyed the marina… Things got jostled, bilges are mostly dry and nothing major visible (and the mirror was already broken). She is tilted up a bit…

The tides are receding?
Tgf mpm!!!!
Sounds like the old girl might be OK, good luck with her.
Ok. What he said but a bunch more !!
How will they float her?
Pulling for you – she’s a beaut and I’m sure you’ll bring her back up to her former glory.
Hopefull;y it is no more than bent prop shafts.
The marsh mud saves little, but in this case you owe that pluff mud some gratitude.- hopefully.
Lucky could have been a disaster
Best wishes! I have confidence that your boat will live to cruise many more days.
I’m from the left coast and have only gone through these things overseas, but I can’t imagine why one would not pay to have his boat moved inland to save it from this damage. It’s got to be cheaper than buying a new boat or paying for salvage or repairs. I’ve got insurance but I still don’t want my stuff wrecked.
THink they can dig below, slide bladders under, inflate, and skid back into water at high tide? Pilings could be problematic but I’ve seen huge barges dragged out to water from storms by this method. Best wishes for a successful relaunch.
Good luck! This is what our sailboat looked like after Sandy. Turned out to be only minor damage. Our Riviera came through without a scratch.
Somehow, the pics looked like a hurricane went through that boat a long time before Mathew got to it. Poor boat, I can see that one in a funeral pyre in a few years
Keep your chin up. After Super Storm Sandy, this one was 14′ in the trees in a county park 3mi. from where she was blocked. Scars are like Tattoos with a story.
Can we get an update ? I can’t hold my breath any longer ?
