Place the spring traps along the wall with a box or bin, etc. along the other side.
Block the other end to make it a “box canyon”. Leave a couple bits of food at, and just short of the trap.
By having the canyon set-up, it’ll still go for the bait, and will be perfectly lined up for the neck snap.
Worst thing is to have them snap the trap from the wrong angle, and then just steer clear of them.
Marvin always consorted with the rebel type.
