De salting and getting things back to normal now that she’s back in Chicago.
De salting and getting things back to normal. Christian Anderson has found his rythem and looking good. Flitz polish has been good to me and the boat. #MissMarianne #flitz

Now that’s dedication!
Are you going to use the Fltiz sealer to keep it looking polished a little longer?
Koge noget vand med 1 citron
Ever try Sharkhide protectant. Look it up.
Looks great!
Aeems to me when your boat was built those stanstion bases were painter brown or chromed.
True labor of love!
Before and after shots what a difference
I kind of like the copper oxide myself.
Lookin good
I kind of like the patina!
Have you thought about powder coating chrome
Wow looks like a lot of kinetic energy goes into de-salting!
I’ve found Woody Wax on metal bits to be very effective in preventing corrosion, as I found out when I took my boat to the Bahamas, all the stainless showed rust in 3-4 weeks then I got on maintenance plan. Salt-Away rinse with freshwater after each day of running, and Woody Wax once every few months. No issues since. Back in fresh water now.
Marrianne looks lovely as she is, with all her vintage ware….imo
For whatever it’s worth Albert, my boat (‘67 CC Crusader 36’) has all bronze stanchions on it as well. I replaced all of them several years ago (most were pot metal) originally)
They’ve all been re-chromed. My boat sits in salt water all day every day since forever and they have never discolored like that. I’m thinking maybe you need a new chrome job…
That is real dedication to your lovely lady…she deserves it and is certainly worth it!!!
