The “purists” in here will be technically correct. Yes, tinned copper and marine grade. That said, you could use flat copper bare ribbon which is how many old boats were done. Might be cheaper. The jacket on the wire and the number of strands is different for “marine” wire. Your insurance company unfortunately will rule the roost in this one. Keep in mind, bonding is a controversial topic. Some boats are, others aren’t. And then there’s lightning protection. Given the size of the underwater machinery, and, your height relative to many other boats around you, this should be a consideration. This could be one of those 97 Comment/WWIII discussions.

Marine grade.
Where did this gal come from……most are just deck candy…..this girls knows her boat…..you go girl…..guess you don’t have a sister or like minded girlfriend……lol..enjoy
Your boat is coming along beautifully! Keep up on it maybe I’ll see you up north one day mine is a baby compared to yours and don’t have capacity to travel that far south
Pretty amazing..
#8 with heat shrink connectors andadded insurance some dielectric grease around the insulation
Of its copper i dont think it will matter…bared or not…that green shielded house panel ground wire is generally copper and you cant go wrong with that..i avoid anything else unless it is stainless steel wire…no aluminum and nothing “tin”
As added security if you have a good multimeter with an audible system , make some extra long leads up to double check you have good contacts thru the system
Marine grade – ALWAYS
My ’86 Grand Banks has flat copper conductors, no insulation, still intact in 2017.
Tinned copper strand wire minimum 8-10gauge depending on length of run.
