OMG!!! 9 days and we are leaving for the great loop trip and Albert decides to rewire the boat. Better get this cleaned up before I get there!! (he’s saying they will be done with the mess tomorrow) #missmarianne. – – – – – – – per Albert:: “Started our a/c panel replacement . Also ridding all the two wire in the boat so everything will be properly bonded and all in one location. Also new transfer switch, shore power breakers and galvanic isolation. First day we traced every circuit and did load analysis and labeled all if he and referred to the original electrical print we have with the boat.”

WTF it coulden’t wait till you were south hahahahah
We are about to have to do the same with our ’63 Connie.
I do not like those residential-grade Square-D breakers, but given the size of the project I live with them. Everything on the boat works properly. What made him decide to do it?
CC had a simple solution for grounding a few years after this boat was built. They ran a seperate ground condiuctor (green) to each recepticla and appliance rather than replacing all that wiring. Serves the same purpose and satisfies survey. My ’67 Sea Skiff is that way.
see what happens when your not here and Albert get bored! ????
In Florida it’s usually the boat next to you. I worked on a 56′ Matthews with every thru-hull and seacock bonded with a 240 VAC line loose in the bilge water. The whole boat was hot.
Due to saltwater entering our Chris Craft during a stormy crossing of the Georgia strait (Waves went over the entire boat) I added Ground Fault Circuits as we had an electrical fire in one of the AC outlets (The one under the window in cabin). Albert Bartkus I think it is a good idea to do this before a long trip instead of during. I also fused every outlet individually, soldered and shrink-tubed most connections instead of crimping that was used before.
Sounds like a guy that likes a little pressure to complete a project, I can relate to that. All the best
Keep at it. You’ve got this
Better to be safe than sorry, right chaps carry on.
No problem. I could have this finished in just a couple years.
Cindy Chebultz please excuse me for hijacking your post. IIRC you posted a short video recently of Albert Bartkus back ground. I ran across it on my phone during lunch hour but I didn’t have the time to read it. I am now unable to locate it. Can you lead me please where you posted it? Thank you so much.
