Started to reactivate the 32 volt systems for the first time since hurricane. Approaching it slowly and carefully.some of the 32 v wiring experienced excessive corrosion. For now we activated a 32v bilge pump and float switch just to simply have a pump on a redundant power source. #nauticinderella

Good Idea!
Damn I got 3000 system for my 12v system
Cindy, We convert all of the old 32v systems to 24v. It is an easy conversion, safer and easier to get replacement parts.
it’s more a matter of re activating the existing system first. Wiring all needs to be checked etc. And I was curious if the batteries still held a charge. I agree with your point though. And the 32v toilets and bilge pumps are better. If it works It can stay. There isn’t anything else significant left on that system.
32v is not a unsafe system. Clean all the connections and or replace Most fires are due to wiring. Who ever wired your boat prior to you should find some they are good at. Looks like mess
First picture is upper helm This pic is the lower panels in the galley.
32v,12v. 110v main, 12v inverted, 32v inverted
It’s what is behind the panels that count. Good clean tight connections make for a happy no fault system
Cindy.
