This is the master stateroom and I’m so bummed that there is not mahogany behind all that floral. Will probably just go over the floral with a beige linen. I’m sure there was mahogany on that back wall originally, some interior designer needs to be shot for that!!! #boatwithnoname

????
gotta go, anything that’ll hold water
????????????????????????????????????????
1/4 inch plywood sheeting and stain to match, online search, mahogany.
You may be able to take it all off and sand the crap out of it and bleach it stain it and varnish it. It will take some work but it can be done.
Did u buy a new boat??
Now that is what I would call a French whore house.
beauty is in the eye of the beholder (I guess)
I like Brandon’s idea.but maybe find a small area, out of the way to experiment on. Once you find a good combination of sanding and staining you could do bigger spots and get it done little by little.
No matter of you try to restore it to natural wood or update it to a more contempory design I am sure it will reflect your love for the classic origin of the vessels..
They came with a vinyl grass cloth on those walls. I’d put Venere and stain to match.
Just paint the ceiling black anf your all set
Or wear blackout glasses
Did you get a new boat Cindy ?
Little gaudy.
Yikes. That’s an industry term. You have to be a professional to use it.
1/2” sapele veneer, no void marine ply. Bleach or stain to match model year. The 1/2” will allow just enough depth to accommodate a plug. Align grain of plug. Use silicon bronze flat head screws and epoxy. Trim with 3/8 reveal not a covering board (covering board will beget other adjacent trim anomalies which will look awkward).
Change it to mahogany. Maybe one section at a time.
Ouch.
A drop leaf table would look nice
That is a shame.
It’s an easy fix. Couple sheets of Philippine mahogany and it’ll be proper again.
Public lumber here in det sells a ribbon stripe mahogany that’s about 1/8 thick take off all the moldings make apattern out of mylar transfer it and glue it up with west system. Put some staples in it through plastic to hold it in place when dry pull staples fill with fameowood lightly sand stain and finish with your favorite. Put mold back on. Brand new prob solved,I am sure this stuff is avab there the aircraft builders like it for wings
U cut this with a razor knife
That’s….sacrilege…what did this poor boat do to deserve that?
this poor boat had mag.ribbon stripe pannels that some one already went “sacrilege on when they glued some kind of taperesty to it.it probly wont surive a clen up that you could re finish here is a alt. to gettin her back to where it belongs,my futura had a panted inter, when i started striping i found C,C, used doug fir on all the bulk heads. This wouldnt do a little effort and when put back together you would swear it came out of factory with a bright finihed mahogany interior
