You guys will get a kick out of this!!!! But after a week and a half of not being able to turn my water back on and probably nine trips to the hardware store … We have determined that nobody really knows if this copper is pipe, tubing or refrigeration tube … It's expanded and contracted to different sizes all over the boat. Here's what worked in the aft head with the leaky shower valve … Still working on the forward head but rigged a shut off valve of sorts so I can finally turn the water back on.

Got to love big boats
Good job!
Great job! I had to do the same after my 3rd trip to the hardware store I did get all types they had and eventually I got it all woking.Always way more than you would expect, Cold and hot water to quite a few number of outlets quickly adds up.
You Rock !
Did the same thing then pex
Love those shark bites.
Oh the lovely fun of working on ancient stuff that WHO KNOWS WHO has been working on using who knows what for decades…….
I knew you would figure something out to make it work. You are a Determined woman!????
Tubing is tubing. There is no such thing as refrigerator tubing.
Yet there are different sizes and wall thicknesses.
….this is how we ended up re-plumbing the boat.
pex it
It’s copper tube that has frozen and different sizes all over the boat show it didn’t just freeze one time in one spot ,everybody just put a bandage on it. Pull it all out and put pex in Shouldn’t take more then a day
Done two Chris Craft houseboats, it’s a mess.I took all lines off to the source. Adapters, adapters and adaptors, until I could starting rolling out with Pex. To find the adaptors took me a week, to roll out Pex, just a morning. Since today, no leaks, no contamination, clean fresh water. I had to replace the waterheater, but you know what that thing saved 70% of energy and the hot water is there in a couple of seconds.
