New linen wall! So the padded floral fabric wall is still padded and fabric … But the floral is gone!!! There's only plywood behind it all, so maybe someday way in the future it'll be mahogany or something nicer?? They had custom-made piping to match the fabric around the edges. I haven't decided exactly on the piping but I'm thinking maybe even just a nautical type small plain rope?? #boatwithnoname

#Rocket update! He told me to hold this lever and didn’t tell me to let go once it started. We might try it again once we repair the hole in our trash can lol!! And take the prop off!! I’ve been out in this garage with him for 10 days now with aircraft paint stripper, oven cleaner, alumabrite, polish, etc. Thank goodness he goes back to school tomorrow! Brody Campbell

Okay round three of testing and I think I have figured out our goal for the top …

Okay round three of testing and I think I have figured out our goal for the top until next winter … Sand with 800 grit, smear a tad bit of G6 on all over a pad and hand polish, then put a piece of steel wool on the buffer and buff until even. You can still see some of the swirls from the previous owners sanding if you look close in bright light, but it's 1000% better. Might try to figure out a way to knock off just a bit of the shine on the raised part so the swirls are not as noticeable, but without removing the polish in the recessed parts, I like the bit of contrast the polish adds . #rocket Brody Campbell

Here are some better pictures of what I'm talking about on the swirls on the top. These are where the previous owner sanded, primed and painted the boat. I've sanded it with 1500 grit sandpaper and polished it with G6 a few times already. It's already lots better and you don't see the swirls much from a foot or two away. #rocket Brody Campbell
