Pushing forward, I decided to repaint the hull sides. The guys did a good job getting the hull prepped for paint. Keyed the existing paint with 240 and filled dings and scratches with polyester filler. I stayed late and got starboard side completed. Rolled with 6″ open foam roller and back brushed with Interlux Brightside Bluglo white.

Noticed someone was looking for eye bolts. We are having new skirting made up. After 6 months in saltwater it was time to change out our screws which were probablyoriginal. McMaster had them. Got them in one day thanks to Nick at the ship store. Now for a vice and a pair of channel locks 140 times and open them up. Ill have to wait until caulking is done and toe rails sealed.

Just a quick update. Combings are done, plastic and paper is pulled off. Still needs a wet sand and some buffing.

Decided to re coat the stern and Edwardo continued polishing more trim and parts. Keyed the stern with 220. You will see where I was coating it just past the middle. Took me about 10 min not includingthe prep work. Have to move fast with the Awlwood.

Should be my final coat of Awlwood. In just over a week I have a fairly complete varnishing project. Ill be polishing some of this because there is too much airborne debris in this building and you can feel it in the finish. Also what I have in my hand is left over awlwood that solidified in the pot over night. Notice how the product is completely clear. #Awlgrip #AwlwoodMA
