/10 Comments/in Chris Craft /by adminSo what we thought would be an easy motor replacement, ended up having to remove the whole blower, which meant removing the black tank, and while the black tank is out might as well clean it, and if I’m going to do that dirty mess I might as well take out both black tanks and clean them. Life of a boat owner.

/10 Comments/in Chris Craft /by adminSo he went down and unscrewed one side of this air handler box where the blower is inside. Tried to get a good pic for a part number. There’s not much room and the blower is pretty big so we’re probably going to have to take that entire air handler box apart to replace the blower.

My AC unit is working fine … But the blower inside this air handler box is now…
/7 Comments/in Chris Craft /by adminMy AC unit is working fine … But the blower inside this air handler box is now kaput … Whats the best way in there? we put a fan inside the box where the coils are (these are also in the same metal box) and it blows nice cold air, just not the volume that it normally does. That metal box one side is where the air goes out, the heating coils and the blower are somewhere in the middle, and the 3rd picture is the air intake that we accessed through the vent panel under a bed.
The blower is inside that metal box between the end with the ducts coming out and the end with the coils, there is an air intake and vent hole with a filter on the coil side. the blower is somewhere inside. This is the original 1967 heater and a/c unit. The duct splitter end is in the bilge under the dinette, the coil end is under a bed in the fore stateroom (so it's complicated to get to and to photograph the whole thing). The water cooling part is on the starboard side, and the metal box is on the port side.

/21 Comments/in #MissGinger, Chris Craft /by adminCovid Project Progress … 50′ of what seems like a zillion coats of some polyurethane / varnish is almost gone. I don’t understand on the gunnel why they took up 6-8″ with that empty side panel, a complete waste of space. So far only 3 blisters, two from touching myself with the heat gun and one from scraping. #missginger
