Here are some better pictures of what I'm talking about on the swirls on the top. These are where the previous owner sanded, primed and painted the boat. I've sanded it with 1500 grit sandpaper and polished it with G6 a few times already. It's already lots better and you don't see the swirls much from a foot or two away. #rocket Brody Campbell

    Well now that’s a predicament. I think it might just be something that you will have to live with. The more you sand the better your chances of making it uneven from removing the high spots. Possibly try polishing it to see how it looks.
    Worst case you could have the top sand blasted to add a little texture back and disguise the scratches?
