What's the best solution for our textured top?? It has swirls from previous owners sanding. I've sanded a little with 3000 grit… I've tried polish? This entire boat was painted for many years. We've almost gotten all the primer off of the textured top. There are however some swirls from when someone prior sanded it. This first pic is just alumabrite cleaner. The second pic is where I tried to polish (turns out uneven). The other pics are before. Brody Campbell #rocket

I would try acid washing with a brass wire brush it to see if it’s just ground in dirt. But you will have to be very careful and not get it on the sides or you will have to polish all over again. If that doesn’t work the only other good option without removing the texture is soda blasting. But that’s just my opinion

Would also like to hear any and all possible solutions to clean the textured surface including the most effective way to remove carpet glue. I was thinking once the glue is off soda blast would be a good option? I’m going to have the interior bottom paint removed via soda and then leave it as-is as a brushed aluminum look.
